FAQs

Here are some tips for taking your pet’s reference photos:
-Take the photos outdoors on a bright overcast day. If it is sunny, it is best to put the pet in the shade. Avoid high noon and do not use flash.
-Indoor pictures are best taken by a window with morning light. Avoid artificial lighting.
-Get down to eye level with your pet.
-Use a toy or treat to get your pet’s attention.
-Ensure the whole face and neck are visible.

No, but as I work in standard sizes it will be very easy for you to find a frame for your portrait! I will let you know what frame size you need to get for your custom painting.

All my custom portraits are hand-painted by me using professional watercolor paint and high quality cold press watercolor paper.

My animal portraits are usually black and white but if you’d like a different color let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate your wishes!

Try to picture where it will hang. If you are planing on hanging it on a wall, you can cut some tape and see how it looks on the wall to estimate the painting size.

If you’d like the name of your pet, or the address of your home on your painting, let me know and I’ll give you some options. Once we decide on where it would look the best I’ll add it to the painting.

As I paint in Watercolors, unfortunatly once it’s painted it cannot be changed. I can only add small details once it’s finished.

Pet portraits take between 2-4 weeks for completion, and house portraits about 2 weeks.

The smallest pet portrait that I paint is 5”x7” and the largest is 22”x30”. Click here for a size and price list.

For home portraits, I work in two sizes: 5”x7” and 8”x10”. Click here for a size and price list.

I accept payments through PayPal or e-transfer.

Prices vary from CAD$75 to $520. Click here for a size and price list.

Absolutely! Once painted, custom home and pet portraits can be made into phone covers, mugs, pillow cases, t-shirts, and much more! If you would like this option, let me know and I will do a free upload of a digital version of your custom painting into a POD (print-on-demand) website, which will manage the printing and shipment of your products.

POD stands for Print on Demand. They are independent companies that sell customized products that are printed only after an order has been placed.

You can purchase a Non-exclusive Licence of my patterns. This means we will sign an agreement that grants you the use of my pattern usually for a year or two and for a certain fee. After the agreement ends, you can only keep using the pattern if the agreement is renewed.

No, all products with my patterns are sold through pod sites and they manage the printing and shipping. You can visit my POD sites here.

Mainly, as I love painting animals! I also paint home portraits, and florals and objects too but not as often.
A limited edition print is a reproduction that’s limited to a specified number. Each print is signed and numbered by me. As they are created in limited quantities, their scarcity increases their worth and makes them as valuable as any original artwork.
